About Me

Note - this website is being updated, thank you for your patience.

I am a Doctor of Psychology who recently achieved a PhD researching predictive social perception within autism. As an autistic person, this project has been very personal to me. I am currently in the exciting period of producing publications that I can present around the world. My latst projects include expanding on my PhD project using EEG, and exploring new ways to diagnose autism with the hopes of reducing NHS waiting times. Outlines of these can be found on the ‘current research’ tab.

In addition, I am the co-organizer of the ReproducibiliTea journal club as a part of my role as Local Network Lead for the UK Reproducibility Network (UKRN) at University of Plymouth. This club promotes and discusses the importance of open and reproducible research through bi-weekly meetings, engaging both staff and research students.

Outside of my project, I also have avid interests in emotion analytics, criminal and forensic psychology, psychotherapy, and the open science movement.

In my spare time, I am a professional storm chaser for UK Weather Chase, with skills in reading radar and computer model outputs. I also enjoy making music, and engaging with the fire and flow arts community as a trained fire spinner.
